| The Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire & other guests at the Official opening of Mareham Pasture Local Nature Reserve |
On Saturday 15th October the Lord Lieutenant of
Lincolnshire, Mrs Bridget Cracroft-Eley LLD JP unveilled a
plaque at Mareham Pastures Local Nature Reserve to
commemorate it’s official opening.
Two groups from the local community, who are regular
supporters of Mareham Pastures carried out activities on the
same day. The Sleaford Cubs made use of the recreation area
on the site and the Sleaford Detachment of the Lincolnshire
Army Cadet Force carried out field craft exercises and
conservation work.

The Friends group also hosted an information stall where local people and invited guests were able to see a display material on the development of Mareham Pastures. Also leaflets and information were available from the group providing details of the new Conservation Volunteer Programme.
