A group of four young people working towards their Bronze
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award took part in the Mareham Pastures
Conservation Volunteer Programme.
The four young people who are in year ten at Carres Grammar
School have volunteered to take part in the scheme to gain
accreditation towards the community service part of their
Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The first of the conservation projects, the construction of
a boundary fence took place on Sunday 9th October.
The Friends group also hosted an information stall where local people and invited guests were able to see a display material on the development of Mareham Pastures. Also leaflets and information were available from the group providing details of the new Conservation Volunteer Programme.
